BINA Architecture is a Tunisian firm founded by Anis Bouatay, an architect graduated from the École d'Architecture de Bretagne (France) with over 20 years of experience gained with leading international architecture and engineering firms.
Our name, BINA (البناء), means "construction" in Arabic — a deep cultural anchor reflecting our Mediterranean and African identity, open to the world. Based in Tunis, we work across Tunisia, Africa and internationally on residential, office, commercial and urban projects.
Graduated from the École d'Architecture de Bretagne in 2006, Anis Bouatay built his expertise within major international organizations: AFRY (Swedish global engineering group), Oger International, and Patrick Chavannes Architecte Urbaniste (Paris). Drawing on this experience across complex, multicultural projects, he founded BINA Architecture in Tunis with a clear ambition: to bring international professional standards to the Tunisian and African market. As an EDGE Expert certified by IFC (World Bank Group), he positions BINA as a reference in sustainable architecture and green building across North Africa.
BINA Architecture anchors its work in environmental responsibility and resource management, integrated from the early stages of the project. We pay particular attention to the overall performance of the building: bioclimatic design, energy optimization, material durability, and sobriety of implemented solutions. These principles are adapted to each program, site, and regulatory framework.
